"Exchange took way too long"
I ordered from awareness-avenue.com and ended up needing an exchange because the size wasn’t right. The first response was decent enough, so I thought it would be a simple process, but after that everything slowed way down and I had to keep reaching out just to find out what was going on.
They did eventually get it handled, and I appreciate that, but it shouldn’t take that much chasing for a basic exchange. I’m not trying to be difficult, I just think customers deserve clear updates and a reasonable timeline. It wasn’t the worst experience ever, but I wouldn’t be quick to order again.

My order showed up with items I definitely didn’t pick, so that was already frustrating. What made it worse was the vague promises about fixing it, like they’d “look into it” or “get back to me soon,” but nothing was actually clear. I just wanted the items I ordered, not a guessing game

This company is a masterclass in how to say “we appreciate your service” while doing absolutely nothing to actually help.

I notified them immediately that I am an active duty service member facing a short notice and unexpected deployment to a secure location with no mail access, and requested cancellation while the order was still early in production. Their response? Repeated policy copy-paste and zero flexibility.

They openly acknowledged my situation—and still chose to proceed with shipping a ~$600 item to an address they know will be unoccupied for an extended period of time. That’s not a limitation. That’s a deliberate business decision.

What’s most frustrating is the illusion of customer service: polished emails, polite language, and repeated apologies—paired with absolutely no meaningful action. No escalation, no attempt at a reasonable accommodation, no ownership of the situation—just rigid adherence to policy regardless of context.

When given the opportunity to exercise basic discretion and support a time-sensitive, real-world circumstance, this company chose their convenience over integrity.

If everything goes perfectly, you’ll probably be fine. But if anything requires even minimal flexibility, don’t expect help—expect scripted responses and a company that prioritizes process over people.

I found some of the stuff on Awareness Avenue useful, but it really depends on how old your kid is. A few topics felt a little too mature for younger kids, and some parts seemed like they were handled kind of carelessly, like they needed more guidance or a better explanation from an adult. It’s not a bad resource overall, but I wouldn’t just let younger kids browse it on their own. For teens, it’s probably fine

"Material feels cheaper than I expected"
I ordered from awareness-avenue.com and the design looked fine, like it was pretty much what I expected from the pictures, but once I actually got it in my hands the material just felt thinner and cheaper than I thought it would, so that was kind of disappointing.

I wore it a couple times and it already started looking a little worn out, which isn’t the end of the world but it definitely made me feel like it wasn’t really worth it for me, so I probably wouldn’t buy from them again
